Thanks Jim, really enjoyed the event. A good area with a bit of everything and some challenging check point locations.
The only disappointment for me me was the sight of a fellow competitor using the footpath east of check point 10 as a short cut to check point 30. If he reads this - it's cheating! |

Yes Jim, great event - I thought that the off road stuff would be an absolute bog, but it was all rideable and pretty good. A great event and a nice touch to put the ford at the end, so my bike got cleaned just before I finished.
Didn't see the shortcut taker, and it wasn't me! |

Hey Nick,
legs doing OK, seems to be fine, just working on fitness. Crashed today at Llandegla though and thought I had done some damage - hopefully the bruising will have gone down in time for the hospital check up in a couple of weeks. Are you doing the HONC this year? |

Not this year it clashes with a local event, which I'll do instead. Cheaper and less driving. We've got a team together for Mayhem which should be interesting. Me, Kev Holloway, Iwona and Phil Ward a MTBer from the club. Off to Majorca on the 20th for a few quality miles  |
